Nominations for Excellence in Conservation Communication Awards Due March 30

The Oklahoma Conservation Commission and Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts are seeking nominations for the 2018 Excellence in Communication Awards. Deadline for entries is March 30, 2018, and awards will be presented during Conservation Day at the Capitol on April 12, 2018.

Excellence in Communication by a Conservation District - recognizing a conservation district for outstanding overall communications efforts.
Excellence in Innovative Communication by a Conservation District - recognizing a conservation district for outstanding innovative communications such as broadcast media, web sites, handout items, displays and exhibits, electronic marquee promotions, billboards and other specialty items.
Outstanding Press Coverage of Conservation by OPA Member Newspaper Employee – recognizing an employee of an Oklahoma newspaper that is a member of the Oklahoma Press Association (OPA) for an outstanding example of news media coverage during the contest year.
Outstanding Continuing Publisher Support of Coverage of Conservation – recognizing a publisher of an OPA member newspaper for continuing and ongoing news media coverage during the contest year.
