Please join Rural Coalition on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024 at 7pm ET for FSA County Committee Elections 102. Nominations for open positions on Farm Service Agency (FSA) Farmer-Elected County Committees close on August 1, 2024and we want to be sure farmers and ranchers understand the importance of their participation.
During this workshop, Farm Service Agency will join us to provide information on county committees, the nomination and election process, and what you should expect from the County Committee in your area. These include:
How to find out who is on your County Committee.
Who is running, which seats are up, how & when to vote.
How to nominate farmers and ranchers, including yourself, to run?
The election process and how ballot counting works
We also will have insights from farmers and ranchers who have run for election, served, and/or are serving as elected members and appointed Minority Advisors.
We invite you to share your experiences as well. Please email mina@ruralco.org if you have any questions or insights you would like to share before the call. Mina can also help you access the election reports for your area.
