Free Noble Grazing Essentials Course for Oklahoma Ranchers - Langley, OK


FREE NOBLE GRAZING ESSENTIALS COURSE FOR OKLAHOMA RANCHERS OFFERED BY OCC!

Noble Research Institute, the Oklahoma Conservation Commission, and Mayes County Conservation District are partnering to offer Oklahoma-based ranchers a free, three-day Noble Grazing Essentials course with input from Oklahoma Conservation Commission on nutrient runoff and watershed management.

 With insights from Oklahoma Conservation Commission experts and Noble Research Institute facilitators, you’ll learn how to implement regenerative grazing practices that reduce nutrient pollution and help protect Oklahoma’s natural resources while improving your bottom line.

What You’ll Learn

  • Apply adaptive grazing techniques to improve pasture recovery and resilience

  • Optimize forage use while avoiding overgrazing

  • Implement nutrient management practices that protect local watersheds

  • Increase biodiversity to make your land more drought-resistant and sustainable

  • Strategize infrastructure improvements to optimize grazing

  • Determine carrying capacity for your own operation

Why You Should Attend

This course offers the knowledge and hands-on experience you need to implement more productive, sustainable grazing management on your land. Each course features a different land management context, offering producers opportunity to attend the course that best matches their farm setting.  It’s completely free for Oklahoma ranchers, but seats are limited to just 40 participants per session, so make sure you register soon.

Course Locations & Dates

Oct. 8-10 | Langley, Oklahoma - Land Management Context:  Eastern Oklahoma counties in the Ozark uplands featuring chert-rock soils that are drought susceptible with lots of slope and elevation change.

Oct. 23-25 | Pryor, Oklahoma - Land Management Context:  Eastern Oklahoma counties in Neosho-Grand River watersheds featuring deep, loamy soils with much less landscape relief and greater drought tolerance.
